 Andrés Iniesta is a retired Spanish professional soccer player. He was born on May 11, 1984, in Fuentealbilla, Spain. Iniesta is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation and is known for his exceptional vision, passing ability, and technical skills.


Iniesta began his career at Barcelona's youth academy, La Masia, where he developed his skills and rose through the ranks. He made his first-team debut for Barcelona in 2002 and went on to have a highly successful career with the club, winning numerous domestic and international titles. 


During his time at Barcelona, Iniesta won numerous La Liga titles, Copa del Rey titles, and UEFA Champions League titles. Perhaps his most memorable moment came in the 2010 FIFA World Cup final, where he scored the winning goal for Spain in extra time against the Netherlands, securing Spain's first-ever World Cup victory.


Iniesta left Barcelona in 2018 and joined Japanese club Vissel Kobe, where he played until his retirement in 2021. Throughout his career, Iniesta has been praised for his professionalism, humility, and sportsmanship. He is often recognized as one of the greatest midfielders in the history of the sport.


In addition to his club success, Iniesta has also represented the Spanish national team, earning over 130 caps and achieving great success. He was a key player in Spain's victories in the 2008 and 2012 UEFA European Championships.
