Xavi Hernandez, born on January 25, 1980, is a retired Spanish professional footballer. Widely regarded as one of the all-time great midfielders, Xavi is best known for his time at Barcelona, where he spent the majority of his career and achieved immense success.

Xavi joined the Barcelona youth academy, La Masia, at the age of 11 and made his first-team debut in 1998. He quickly established himself as a talented and influential player, displaying exceptional passing ability, vision, and technical skills. Xavi played a crucial role in Barcelona's success under manager Pep Guardiola, helping the team dominate both domestically and in Europe during the late 2000s and early 2010s.

During his time at Barcelona, Xavi won numerous titles, including eight La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles. He also played a significant role in Spain's national team, helping them win the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 and 2012 European Championships. Xavi retired from international football in 2014 as Spain's all-time appearance record holder.

His playing style, known as "tiki-taka," which emphasizes keeping possession and quick, short passing, has been highly influential in the modern game. After leaving Barcelona in 2015, Xavi played for Qatari club Al-Sadd until his retirement in 2019. Following his retirement, he became a coach and is currently the head coach of Qatari club Al-Sadd.
