Daniel Alves da Silva, commonly known as Dani Alves, is a retired Brazilian professional footballer. He was born on May 6, 1983, in Juazeiro, Bahia, Brazil. Alves primarily played as a right-back but was also capable of playing as a wing-back or midfielder.
Alves had a highly successful career, playing for several top clubs in Europe. He started his professional career in Brazil with Bahia before moving to Europe to join Sevilla FC in 2003. At Sevilla, he won two UEFA Cups and established himself as one of the best right-backs in the world.
In 2008, Alves transferred to FC Barcelona, where he experienced tremendous success. He won numerous domestic and international titles with the club, including six La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions League titles.
