 Paolo Maldini is a retired Italian professional footballer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of all time. He was born on June 26, 1968, in Milan, Italy. Maldini spent his entire professional career at AC Milan, where he played as a left-back and occasionally as a center-back.

Maldini joined the AC Milan youth academy at the age of 10 and made his first-team debut in 1984 at the age of 16. He quickly established himself as a regular starter and became the team's captain in 1997, a position he held until his retirement in 2009. Maldini was known for his exceptional defensive skills, positioning, and ability to read the game.

During his career, Maldini won numerous titles with AC Milan, including seven Serie A titles, five UEFA Champions League titles, and five Supercoppa Italiana titles. He also represented the Italian national team, making 126 appearances and participating in four World Cups.
